Our Mission
To reduce inequality by bridging the gap between passionate professionals and underserved individuals for more resilient communities.

Our Goals

- To build a multidisciplinary network of passionate volunteers to practice their profession in a way that fits their lifestyle.
- To partner with community organizations to further their mission and better serve their clients.
- To fill the service gaps often found in underserved communities so that they can build better futures.
- To increase the resilience of the community by strengthening careers and individuals in the communities that comprise it.
Who We Serve
- Underserved Individuals and Communities – The number of underserved individuals in Houston is staggering. Our poverty rates are high, and children, women, the elderly, LGBTQIA+, and other vulnerable populations are often unable to meet their needs.
- Professionals Committed to Making a Difference – There is also a large pool of untapped talent willing and able to help those in need. We understand the complexities of life often leave little time for a career in the service of others or even a full-time job and have designed our organization to meet the needs of these talented volunteers. We can provide the flexibility to allow their careers and passions to flourish while also helping those in need in our communities.
- We also build partnerships with key community organizations throughout Houston. These organizations help alleviate many of the problems underserved individuals face and help meet many needs, but no single organization can provide every necessary service themselves. That is where Thrive Pro Bono excels.
By working closely with our host organizations and the community members, we can identify the services the community needs, and our skilled volunteers step in to meet these needs.

MP Design Studio
The most resilient animals on earth are not very photogenic. It took the talent and vision of MP Design Studio to create our fantastic logo in all its variations, our corporate image guidelines, and promotional materials. Thank you!

Mendez Interior Design

Isabel Mendez with Mendez Interior Design heard about our efforts to create a space for underprivileged students to learn online during the pandemic. She knew the Harper Learning Nooks would help, and she knew they would get easily damaged with use and storage, so she stepped up and designed, built, and donated storage bags with a team of her own volunteers! Thank you on behalf of every child who will be using these!
